“Pura vida” are probably the two words best defining this country, where “ticos” enjoy life in a paradise counting with a natural diversity that is just unbeatably beautiful. Republic with no army since 1949, no doubt they invented eco-tourism: rain forest, cloud forest, dry forest… You will find it all there. The country is full of national parks and reserves. You can watch wildlife in Corcovado national park, climb on the still active Arenal volcano, go for a fishing trip in playa Flamingo, do canopy in Veragua overlooking Puerto Limon, and so much more.
51.000 km² for around 5 million people, Costa Rica is one of the most modern countries in Central America. The central government offers tax exemptions to those willing to invest in the country. This strategy works well, as it is now the number one destination in the region in terms of direct foreign investment and several global high tech corporations have already started developing in the area and exporting goods. Amongst them are chip manufacturer Intel, Pharmaceutical company GSK, consumer product company P&G. Costa Rica will also be a important market for Planitium’s activities.
